Is He or Isn't He?

Only his undertaker knows for sure.  However, the latest reports are that Kim Jong-un, 36, is "alive and well" according to sources in South Korea.  The country would have no reason to make it up.

Kim Jong-un is alive?

The "Kim is dead" rumors were much like the "Paul is dead" rumors in the late 1960s.  Many news outlets speculated he--Kim, not Paul even though Paul is vegan--was in a vegetative state.  Others speculated he was dead already, and his sister was about to take over.

Furthermore, rumors of his death got further fueled when a train had been spotted at one of his retreats.  The rumors said Kim always takes a plane to travel from places like this.  However, there was no evidence he had died.

"Our government position is firm," Moon Chung-in, the top foreign policy adviser to South Korean President Moon Jae-in, told CNN. "Kim Jong Un is alive and well. He has been staying in the Wonsan area since April 13. No suspicious movements have so far been detected."

Questions were raised about Kim's well-being after he missed the celebration of his grandfather's birthday on April 15. He had been seen four days before that at a politburo meeting, according to North Korean state media, KCNA.

CNN reported earlier in the week that the United States is monitoring intelligence that Kim is "in grave danger after a surgery," according to a US official. Another US official told CNN Monday that the concerns about Kim's health are credible, but their severity is hard to assess.

Time will tell.

Possible Obituary: Kim Jong Un

Rumors are running rampant worldwide about the death of Kim Jong Un, the whatever-you-want-to-call-him of North Korea.  He was reported to have been in terrible health in recent days, and some have even thought he might have been a victim of the coronavirus.

However, he had or has a lot of underlying issues.

The big trend on Twitter is people are doing a deathwatch on him.

Kim Jong Un is rumored to be dead, according to a Hong Kong broadcast network, while a Japanese magazine is reporting that North Korea’s rocket man is in a “vegetative state” after he underwent heart surgery earlier this month.

I will keep this post up until I know he hasn't kicked off.

Kim is only 36 years old.  It only proves the saying "the good die young" is a lie.

His sister is next in line for the job if he does die or is dead.
