Is John McCain a clone of our dictator? Well, it depends on the issue.
McCain is much a media creation as Obama. I am finishing up the book by David Brock and Paul Waldman, Free Ride: John McCain and the Media, which examines the media's shilling for the GOP candidate and all of the propaganda used to promote him, such as McCain supposedly being a "moderate," a "maverick," and so forth.
It is worth reading. I have scads of books I need to be reading, and now that I don't have an income right now, I have plenty of time to read them as long as the the utility company doesn't shut off my electricity.
