Hypocrisy, thy names are Rahm, Barry, and Arne.

Racehorse Paynter continues to improve.

Given all of his health problems, I hope his owners will simply retire him rather than actually bringing him back to race.

"I was very happy after my call with Dr. Larry Bramlage," Zayat continued, referencing the prominent equine veterinarian. "We sent him X-rays of Paynter's feet for his review and second opinion. Our conversation made me very hopeful. He confirmed to us what other vets have told us that the X-rays look great. There is no sign of rotation or separation or sinking in his feet. In fact, (Bramlage) was very encouraged and 'pleasantly surprised' by those images.

"(Bramlage) told me he believed, based on what he saw, that if the colt continues to improve there is no reason why he shouldn't return to a full recovery as a racehorse and that in his opinion he has all chances to race again at top notch level. Continue to pray for a speedy recovery for the people's horse!"

Racehorse Paynter continues to show improvement. He is currently suffering from a bout with laminitis, a frequently fatal hoof disease:

The Zayat family through Twitter said Paynter, who won the Haskell Invitational (gr. I) at Monmouth Park, "continues to gradually improve. He is passing manure and eating, and walks freely around his stall. His fever is under control and his protein levels have stabilized."

If Cory Booker ever goes into the big leagues of national politics, this article from 2002 should set people straight on this politician.

Pretty devastating.

This is a speech Obama should give but he never, ever will.

What has Obama rot with his rotten policies?

It's because the neolibs have taken over the Democratic Party, that's why.

Top racehorse Paynter is nowhere near out of the woods, but this is the latest on his health crises:

Haskell Invitational (gr. I) winner Paynter, who was diagnosed with laminitis Sept. 4, was "walking comfortably" Sept. 5, and his bloodwork came back normal, the Zayat family said.

The embroidery business is booming in Reno thanks to putting the finishing touches on those made-in-China uniforms.

The lack of REAL dental insurance, and not those piddling benefits employers offer that pay hardly nothing thanks to annual limits, is a national scandal.

For-profit companies, as mentioned previously on this blog, are up to their eyeballs in this.

Necessities should never be subject to the profit motive.
_____

Well, Glenn, you rip what you sew.
_____

It would likely take a miracle for top racehorse Paynter, winner of the Haskell Invitational, to survive this very, very serious bout with laminitis, the same disease that caused Secretariat to be put down in 1989.

Paynter developed colitis, but then he ended up with laminitis in three of his four legs.

I would say the chances of survival are not good.
