Having Too Much Money Screws Up the Mind

I naively thought billionaire vulture capitalist Tom Perkins would have the sense to keep his mouth shut after his unbelievable remarks about how his elite class is being persecuted by those "terrible" 99.999-percenters not unlike what happened during the Nazi era.

However, I was wrong:

Last week, Tom Perkins, who's becoming America's most controversial venture capitalist, suggested the very rich should get more votes than everyone else. In his ideal system, he said, "it should be like a corporation. You pay a million dollars in taxes, you get a million votes. How's that?"

Well, un-American, for starters. But more on that in a minute. Perkins quickly indicated he wasn't being entirely serious, just as he'd backtracked after saying on another occasion that criticism of the 1% was akin to Nazi persecution of Jews. Apparently his pronouncements aren't to be taken literally; they're pleas for understanding from a brave member of a victimized minority group. Right.

Next thing you know, they will be asking for preferential treatment. Wait a minute: They already ARE getting that, thanks to our idiot Congress and state and local governments. They also are objects of insane wealth worship by the masses while these rich interests continue to pick their pockets via divide-and-conquer propaganda. They even have an ideology, libertarianism or neoliberalism, which gives political cover for their mental illness of sociopathy.

People with too much money really do become deranged in one way or the other. If they hurt only themselves, that wouldn't be so bad, except for the families who have to put up with them, but unfortunately their insanity is hurting millions upon millions, even billions, of other people.

Batshit Billionaires

can count on the Wall Street Journal to defend them when they are persecuted by the public, the latter likened to those in Nazi Germany if they dare criticize their "betters."

The WSJ editorial page has always been totally dysfunctional, at least from the time of the insane rants against Bill Clinton by the late editorial page editor Bob Bartley, and has little bearing on the reporting section. It should be taken with a huge grain of salt although useful in gauging just how demented those people at the top percent of the top one percent are.

This Perkins is a worthless piece of shit who should be doing prison time, not for having married Danielle Steel, but for "steal" of another type. His entire career is based on moving money around, buying and destroying healthy businesses and walking off with the spoils like a good bank robber and destroying employees' lives in the process. This parasite has contributed NOTHING worthwhile to society and doesn't have to thanks to our culture's insane worship of people who steal from the masses to enrich themselves and game the system through hiring lawyers and accountants for tax breaks, buying media empires to brainwash the peons into believing that handing over their hard-earned money to billionaires and Wall Street thieves is good policy, and buying off politicians to screw us over more.

When you are of the mentality that you are better because you have way too much money, your mind is totally fucked up and incapable of any kind of empathy or compassion for others.

You Can Read the Vulture Capitalist's Whining

about how much he and his criminal cohorts in the top itty-bitty percent of the top one percent (which he loves to lump himself in with everybody else who is high income) are being persecuted by the big, bad 99.9 percent this fucker stole from here. He thinks because he has a lot of money that money MEANS being "successful," when in fact the only "success" this billionaire has is in buying off politicians and gaming tax laws in order to be "successful."

In other words, he STOLE from the rest of us to get and stay rich.

He is nothing but a sociopath.

These morons like him bitch and moan about wealth redistribution as if it is "communist," but in fact wealth redistribution happens REGARDLESS. The wealth is either moved downward creating prosperity for the vast majority of people, or it is transferred upward to a tiny economic elite, forcing everybody else into poverty. All it amounts to is changes to the tax code, period.

The elites have LIED so much about the scam they have pulled on the American people, most people have been brainwashed to think wealth redistribution downward is a bad thing. It isn't--it is common sense and is necessary for a stable society.

Paul Krugman has some commentary about persecuted, paranoid plutocrat Perkins in this piece.
