Hedge Creek Falls and Lake Siskiyou

 Yesterday, I went with a small group hiking at Hedge Creek Falls and Lake Siskiyou near Dunsmuir, California.  Here are a few photos:

From the Top of Lower Table Rock

 Yesterday, I made the trip up to the top of Lower Table Rock near Medford, Oregon.  It was the first time in two years I made the hike.  It was perfect weather, with temperatures in the lower 60s, unusual for this time of year.

The View from Songer Butte Loop Trail

 This trail is located near Emigrant Lake, just outside of Ashland, Oregon. There were some nice views from the hiking trail today:

Upper Table Rock Hike

 For the first time in two years, I embarked on a hike to the top of Upper Table Rock, a noted landmark in southern Oregon's Rogue Valley.  Lots of turkey vultures were around today.  Mount McLoughlin is in the background.

Pilot Rock Trail Hike

Today, I went on an interpretative hike with a small group sponsored by Friends of the Cascade-Siskiyou Monument to the base of the geological landmark Pilot Rock. It is located near Ashland, Oregon. Of course we didn’t go on the rock itself; people have been injured and even killed up there, but we got about as close as it gets. Some of us stayed behind because of the scrambling necessary to get to the base. A few photos:

The View from Grizzly Peak

Today I went on a group hike through the Medford Parks and Recreation Department to Grizzly Peak, which is located in the Cascade-Siskiyou Monument near Ashland, Oregon.  Here are a few pictures I took from the top of the peak, which is more like a butte than a mountain peak:
