 Here are more photographs I took of my latest trip to Crater Lake and later to upper Rogue River.  I adjusted the photographs of the lake to make sure they are the sapphire blue the lake is in real life.

Yosemite: Part 1

 Last week, as part of a tour group, I went to Yosemite National Park in the California Sierra Nevada. It was the third in a three national park tour (the others being Kings Canyon and Sequoia national parks).  Our group went there for two days.  The weather was perfect.

Before embarking on the visit to Sequoia National Park, the tour group I belonged to went to Kings Canyon National Park, which is adjacent to Sequoia. We hiked in Grant Grove, which featured the noted Grant Sequoia, and later we went to the bottom of Kings Canyon via the Scenic Byway.   It is one of the most terrifying roads in the United States, as Kings Canyon is the deepest canyon in North America, reaching depths up to 8,200 feet.  Thankfully, we had a highly skilled, experienced, and BRAVE driver, and, as somebody who is prone to panic attacks on steep mountain roads, I was never afraid. The  bottom of the canyon is quite beautiful and reminiscent of Yosemite National Park.
