Almeda Fire Damage Photos, Part 2

Part 2 of photographs I took of the damage from the vantage point of the Bear Creek Greenway.

Almeda Fire Damage from the Greenway Part 1

The Bear Creek Greenway was finally opened in the fire-affected areas of Phoenix and Talent.  I took these pictures from the vantage point of the Greenway.

A view of the damage from the property where I grew up.  It is owned by Jackson County now, and it is an open field.  It served as a barrier to the fire and saved a nearby mobile home park while most of Medford Estates was destroyed.

Almeda Fire, Phoenix, Oregon, Aftermath Photos Part 5

The last group of photos I took a week ago of Phoenix, Oregon, following the fire:

Blue Heron Park was remarkably untouched.  There was a small area in the back that burned.

Phoenix Motel is no more:

Medford Estates was strange.  The fire leveled the front part of the park, which bordered on my parents' old property, now owned by  Jackson County, but there were still a number of intact homes in the back:

This salon directly across from Barkley's and the barber shop was completely unharmed:
