Daniel Gross of
Slate compares Bush to Herbert Hoover in terms of job creation.
Bush has the dubious distinction of being the first U.S. president to preside over job losses instead of job creation since Hoover.
Gross says Bush could add 1.4 million jobs between now and next November, and while that would be below average, it still isn't good. But it's equally or more likely that even if he could create more jobs his is still a job-losing presidency.
Everything Bush has done has been at a loss. Loss in terms of bankrupting businesses, states, and countries, loss in terms of loss of life, loss in terms of lost jobs, loss in terms of a moral compass.
