The Washoe County School District
decided to eliminate 30 jobs after school's end. Tomorrow the people affected, mainly counselors and gifted-and-talented instructors, will receive their pink slips. They will need to be placed in other jobs if possible. Current employees on standard contracts can bid for transfers right now, so people like me, the temporary contracted people, will have to wait in about 2 or 3 weeks before bidding on openings. There's no guarantee of a job, however, for next year.
I am working my tail off getting resumes out for here and out of state and sandwiching them in during blogging time and other activities.
