of the parties involved cares, it's exactly two years since Chandra Levy disappeared and was murdered. Almost two years since the media went apeshit reporting it because of her affair with former representative Gary Condit. Though Condit had nothing whatsoever to do with the disappearance, the media didn't care. They trashed Condit and his family to the point that voters in his congressional district refused to grant him another term. The media ruined their lives, and the Levy family, doubtless exploited themselves, didn't help matters.

Of course, the media finally did back off, but that was when the horrible 9/11 tragedies knocked the Levy story off the front pages.
