that being "New York bred" doesn't mean shit, either. In horse racing lingo "bred" is merely where the horse was foaled.
It doesn't mean jack shit, in other words. The vast majority of Derby winners were foaled (surprise!) in Kentucky. Secretariat was foaled in Virginia, Affirmed in Florida. Again, so what if Funny Cide was foaled in New York?
