Well, I Got a Lot Done
this afternoon following watching the Kentucky Derby. I planted the petunias in the planter boxes, and I got almost completely caught up on my scrapbook.
No, when I mention scrapbooking, I don't mean that do-it-yourself-photo album junk that women with a lot of time on their hands do. I am talking about the traditional scrapbook, with mementos and newspaper (and internet articles printed off) clippings. I must have about 15 to 20 scrapbooks that I've filled in the past 30 years. I used to have a scrapbook from the sixties, but unfortunately I lost it. Anyway, these scrapbooks have articles I have wanted to save, and often they are offbeat articles or articles about travel, gardening, antiques, and celebrities. In any case, I refer to them quite a bit and have typed excerpts from clippings I saved over the years to this blog.
Some newspapers I save the whole front page, especially those regarding the selection of 2000 and the sham impeachment and don't put in the scrapbook.
Anyway, I almost got caught up on the clippings, but I misplaced my newest scrapbook so I had to stop.
