WRT the Debate

of last night: Supposedly ABC didn't carry the debate live, so the viewer was left to fish for it on his or her own (though it's to be on C-SPAN three times today). Only 50 affiliates were going to carry it at different times in the evening. This is an outrage. That's almost as bad as not carrying the debate at all, and it certainly means the network didn't think the debate was important enough.

Where is the public interest in all of this? Nowhere. And how are people going to even make intelligent decisions in voting if they don't know where the candidates stand?

My proposal is better: Let the USSC decide next year's election, just as they did in 2000, and save everybody the trouble of voting.
