story has made the rounds, since a lot of the bloggers are college students.

It seems our dictatorship is changing the formula for student loans, and this is being done without any approval by Congress or anything. In other words, millions of dollars will be cut out of the student loan program, and students will have to find other ways of raising money. They will have to go further in debt on credit cards, have their parents shoulder more of the burden (if they are alive or can afford it), go to less expensive schools, have to find jobs that don't exist to pay their way through school, or to put it crudely, they may have to deal drugs or turn tricks to pay for tuition.

But this is part of the grand scheme of the right. They want to cut off access to higher education because in the absence of strong unions it is the sole means of upward mobility. And upward mobility to the hereditary rich is a sin because it threatens their exclusivity.
