"Simon and [Wayne] Johnson believe voters unhappy with Davis are unlikely to support Bustamante. They're also confident that [S.'s] early surge will start to ebb and that voters will want more than celebrity in a governor."
Which should bode well for Davis, despite all of the media hoopla surrounding S.
