I Made It Back,
but I sure don't feel like being around here since I have no job. It's just a reminder of how rotten I think certain employers can get when they can toss somebody aside, and then have the nerve to go to the local media and say they can't find enough teachers.
But that's what this local district is doing, despite my receiving a letter from an assistant superintendent reminding me that because of the state budget crisis, they didn't have as many positions available as last year. But because they got a late start in hiring, they can't seem to find enough people to fill the jobs available. I am not a Bill Bennett type, but I'd about bet that virtually all of the one-years were hired back on for this year. Except yours truly, of course.
People want jobs but the principals refuse to interview qualified people (who don't have connections), and then they cry they can't find people to fill the jobs. Crazy.
