try to put a negative spin on Davis even when they attempt to write a puff piece on Cruz Bustamante.

You know, the unions and some representatives have come out in support of Bustamante because they aren't sure of Davis's chances of surviving the coup attempt rather than the truth of wanting to make sure the governorship is in Democratic hands.

Davis's "popularity," or lack of it, isn't the reason for the Cruz endorsements. It's pure pragmatism.

As for Bustamante, if he can keep his mouth shut about Davis he would help the Democrats overall in this matter.
