Although
it is extremely unfortunate the Chronicle uses the loaded term of "conspiracy" to describe the way many of us feel about the California coup attempt, and despite some instances of a sneering tone against Democrats, it is utterly amazing a major newspaper would dare touch the subject of the fascists trying to destroy the two-party system, with California being the latest target.
The notion Democrats ever did any similar is disingenuous in the extreme. What most people still don't understand is the Republican Party is completely different than it was even ten or fifteen years ago. It's turned fascistic--a loaded word, to be sure, but it is the only word that truly describes the current state of that political party.
