Charlotte Observer
opinion piece about John Edwards and his decision not to seek re-election to the United States Senate:
"The senator's enthusiasm for a presidential race that many North Carolinians regard as quixotic, and perhaps a prelude to 2008, puzzles those who do not know the senator. But John Edwards' career has been marked by his ability not only to take on seemingly insurmountable challenges, but also to succeed where experienced observers give him little chance."
People ignore somebody like this to the country's detriment.
