More Recall Stuff.
Davis is starting to run negative ads against S.:
"The 30-second television spot, which began airing statewide, accuses [S.] of mixing up facts about the state budget and avoiding tough questions in his campaign. And it bashes him for failing to vote in more than half of recent elections.
"'He has no experience, won't answer press questions, won't debate unless he has the questions in advance,' the ad's announcer declares. 'And he didn't even bother to vote in 13 of the last 21 elections.'
"The spot signifies a dramatic shift in Davis' strategy to beat the recall. It comes as polls show him still behind in his bid to stay in office, although he has crept within a few percentage points of victory..."
And S. is returning the favor in kind.
