Some assholes in the legislature would like to have "incentive pay" for teachers in the mistaken belief schools are businesses when in fact they are nothing of the kind.

This is a Republican scheme to undermine union contracts and undermine teacher morale.

I would NEVER get "incentive pay" given my job, and a lot of other teachers with a range of student abilities won't, either.

It's bullshit but typical. If Democrats even swallow that nonsense, they are no better than Republicans.

I swear people think they are "experts" on education just because they were once students, but in fact they know absolutely nothing about the field.

Republicans are hard at work touting the career of Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius just in case Democrats win the White House next year and she gets a cabinet appointment.

That will leave a statehouse ripe for the picking.
