is said and done, the Edwards campaign screwed up by hiring those two bloggers in the first place, given the fact their sites are known to have some anti-religious material on their blogs.

Somebody else besides a right-wing nutter would have found the material. The fact is these women shouldn't have even applied for the jobs in the first place and the campaign should never have hired them.

The DU-style anti-religion crap doesn't wash in a major political campaign. Not that I'm religious at all--I'm not--but I'd have enough goddamned sense not to work on a major campaign in a public capacity.
