Corporate greed and an insane right-wing ideology which believes that the very rich deserve to be rich while everybody else should toil in service for their betters are at the very root of the war on the middle class, at least in my opinion.
The big two targets in this insanity are education and unions, for both are the two avenues for which there is upward mobility for the masses.
The PATCO firings early in Reagan's term became the turning point in this economy, and it has never fully recovered.
This relentless war is destroying our national security and our democracy, all by design. And it will fail.
