The "pork barrel" criticism is so nonsensical. That's partly why people elect representatives; they are SUPPOSED to deliver money and programs to their states and districts.

I don't understand Edwards's thinking on this. Isn't taxing the rich to fund the health care program supposed to make garnishment of the working poor irrelevant?

Or is this something like what is being done with Medicare Part B now and people who get it have to pay premiums?
