If a Brokered Convention

happens, why was JOhn Edwards pushed out of the race?

Inquiring minds want to know.

I have posited a theory of why, and today I came across the Ted Kennedy theory explaining Edwards' sudden departure.

Edwards was moving up in Super Tuesday states, he was embarking on a $6 million ad buy throughout those states, he was raising piles of money, he was getting more in matching funds, he had pledged his supporters he was in it "until the convention," he was getting more media coverage, and then--BAM--he drops out without telling his closest staffers.

Some son of a bitch (or bitches) put the screws on him and told him to get out, probably threatening to pull his superdelegates and endorsements if he didn't. Something the hell happened to make him do a 180.

Why aren't journalists ASKING Edwards pointblank about why he dropped out? Why are they taking his lame excuse about "history" at face value?

Ted Kennedy DOES have a record of backstabbing people he doesn't like. Case in point: Jimmy Carter, who he ran against in 1980 and damaged the Democratic Party that year.

Kennedy was also clearly pissed off at the Clintons for his own petty reasons.
