If the shitbag Obama gets the nomination, expect McCain to ultimately lead him by 25 or 30 points. Obama is that bad, and of course the media will not seriously vet him until it's too late.
Perhaps then there will be a movement to ban crossover and same-day voting in primary/caucus elections.
