It isn't just women who are rising to defend Clinton; I don't know of very many Clinton supporters, male or female, who are going to vote for Obama if he gets the nomination.
He is SUCH a disaster, a disaster of McGovern-like proportions, yet the DNC heads and prominent politicians continue on the suicide mission to get him the nomination.

Although the article source is highly questionable, to say the least, I don't doubt pressure was put on John Edwards to endorse Obama just days after he said he wouldn't endorse anybody. After all, he was forced out of the race in January by perhaps the same people.

Especially if Obama is the nominee, forget about Democrats courting the rural vote.
Obama's already shown contempt for "those people."
