Walter, Hillary Clinton voters will automatically flock to Obama. That's what Obama was bragging about in the primaries, by the way, while at the same time hinting his supporters might not vote for Clinton if she had been the nominee.
Uh, once the vetting really gets going, and ALWAYS remember the media have always been in the tank for John McCain, Obama will bleed support until there is practically no support left.
All one has to do is look at 1972, another election where the primaries were manipulated--illegally then--to know a weak candidate can lose all kinds of support to the other side or stay home.
