Dancer Tula Finklea, also known as Cyd Charisse, has died at the age of 86. She was paired with Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly in a number of films, and enlivened them with her dancing.
Cyd was nicknamed such when she was a child (though she changed the spelling later), and the "Charisse" was the name of her first husband. She divorced him and married singer Tony Martin, who must be around 95 or 96 years old. He had been married to Alice Faye, and they divorced. Of course she married Phil Harris and was married to him forever. Martin and Charisse were married in 1948. Cyd had a son from each marriage and two grandchildren.
Charisse died today after suffering a heart attack yesterday.
