There

isn't much to blog about today. I basically stayed home. The only thing of note was a tan Chihuahua was on my doorstep a couple of hours ago. Sam and Tony about went crazy when they saw him, but the dog didn't leave. I put my dogs in the backyard where my landlord was. The dog did come inside my apartment, but he wouldn't let me near him. He kept growling.

I asked the neighbor if she had seen a tan Chihuahua around the neighborhood. She decided to go around the nearby apartments and ask if anybody was missing a dog. I thought the dog came from across the street because there was a small dog that lived in one of the duplexes; however, the owner came out with the dog, so obviously the dog wasn't from there.

I left the dog in the apartment while I went down to the 7-11. On my way back, I saw a sign with the message: LOST CHIHUAHUA (reward). It read:

Please help us find our baby!!! His name is Taco, and he slipped out of his collar and off his chain on Saturday, June 14th at about 11 a.m., on Cheney Street near Wells Avenue. He is shy and will snap at strangers, so use caution in approaching him.

Then the notice had the phone numbers. I rushed back to my apartment and called the owners and gave them my address. About twenty minutes later, they came over and picked up the dog. The couple doesn't own the dog; it is the wife's mother's dog, and they were watching him while she was out of town. That is scary to lose a dog that's not yours and you have responsibility for taking care of him. After they got him, he settled down and I was able to pet him. He was a cute dog, and I hope he doesn't get away again. The couple gave me a $100 reward; I shouldn't have taken it, but I did. I would have returned the dog even if there were no reward. I couldn't keep him anyway with two other dogs and no means of support right now as my job is in arbitration.

Anyway, that was my day. It beats writing about Obama or Larry Sinclair or Iraq or anything else.
