The Silence is Deafening

Larry Sinclair raises THE question I and many other people have thought about over the past few weeks, and that's the fact Obama's new anti-smear site, Fight the Smears, has absolutely refused to address Sinclair's allegations.

It is truly strange, for this is the "smear" that is certainly one of the most widely discussed on the internet. The pro-Obama blogs such as Kos, FDL, Taylor Marsh, Huffington Post, and the less pro-Obama blog, the Politico, have done their best to "discredit" Sinclair by focusing on his criminal past, a past he has openly admitted to, by parroting claims made by a blogger who himself is a world-class con and which have turned out to be false. The mainstream media refuses to give Sinclair a hearing for reasons of "credibility," yet this same media were all too willing to interview the likes of Paula Jones and Gennifer Flowers to repeat their lies on television. The media spouted lies about Bill and Hillary Clinton as though they were fact, but yet they refuse to let Larry Sinclair, who has not profited from his claims, a hearing. Sinclair is thus relegated to talking about his story to the likes of Jeff Rense and Roger Fredinburg, talk show hosts who are on the fringe and can be easily discredited by the pro-Obama crowd.

But most stunning of all is the fact Obama himself has not even addressed Sinclair's charges. His anti-smear site, as Sinclair points out, doesn't even mention it. You would think the Sinclair claims would be front and center on this site but they are not. Could it be Obama wants as little attention made to Sinclair as possible, and what little attention there is should be made by bloggers (supposedly) not officially tied to the campaign? Could it be Sinclair's allegations might actually be true?

I am still on the fence on this matter, but I am tending to side more and more with Sinclair's claims than with those who try to refute them. If Sinclair were lying, why in the world would he spend hours and hours of his own time trying to track down those who have smeared his reputation and obtaining legal counsel to fight them off? Why doesn't he just give it up?

Whatever one thinks of him, he is certainly tenacious.

Sinclair's allegations fit well within the context of Obama's life
and the level of the attempts to discredit Sinclair and others, raises much suspicion.

It sure does. If Sinclair's allegations are false, Obama's campaign has done a terrible job trying to discredit him.
