Miscellaneous News.

I just returned from the final performance of this year's Artown, which featured the terrific Harlem Gospel Choir.

It sure didn't take the paper long to put my name in:

Susan Nunes of Reno said she’s attended nearly all of the music events.

“I liked the Food for the Soul probably the best,” she said. “I really liked the Preservation Jazz Band. I like to hear different types of music. I like gospel music.”

Without official numbers available, Artown Executive Director Beth Macmillan said this year’s attendance would be close to the 2007 record of 350,000.

“It’s been fabulous, it’s been a really great season,” she said.

The choir's site is here.
