The Raleigh News Observer hopes issues of importance will be raised in the waning days of the presidential campaign.

I note this:

Both Obama and McCain have been thoroughly "vetted" by the American people, who know their life stories and know them both to be people of fine character. Since they have both acknowledged that in each other, they should stick to talking about the things that really matter.


Actually, the public hasn't "vetted" in the case of Obama due in large part to the deliberate negligence of the news media, which are either afraid of appearing racist or are helping be a part of making history. Unfortunately voters, especially Democrats, are being sold a pig in a poke and will likely regret it if he gets elected.
