Obama showed his lack of experience, not to mention his lack of sense, regarding coal, and this is really bad since almost all of the tossup states in the "coal belt" of Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

Not smart, but then it may not have an effect on the outcome, if the polls favoring a decisive Obama win are accurate.

The campaign has tried to spin Obama's remarks, which can be heard here, but if he really meant what the campaign says he meant, then he should have said it.

That's the problem with this guy: He gets off on tangents and can't say anything in clear, concise English.

This is horrible: Obama's Nevada campaign director Terence Tolbert, only 44, died last night of a heart attack.

AP:

Family spokesman Basil Smikle said Monday that Terence Tolbert died of a heart attack Sunday in Las Vegas.

Tolbert was on leave from his job as the chief lobbyist for New York City's public schools at the state capital in Albany to work for the Democratic presidential nominee.

Bloomberg, who has switched his registration from Democratic to Republican to independent, called Tolbert one of the most hardworking people in the world and also one of the most likable.

A picture of him is here.
