Finally somebody tells the truth that there is NO teacher shortage, and there has never BEEN a teacher shortage, I might add.
That explains why districts all over the country are treating teachers like shit, subverting tenure laws and regulations in the process. Older teachers like yours truly are especially vulnerable to being canned on fake charges.
Districts know they can get away with it, for there are hundreds of teachers waiting in line to take the place of each teacher who is dismissed.
Until people know the truth about education and the absolutely corrupt culture of public education, this will continue.
Prospective teachers MUST avoid this occupation like the plague.

Thanks for this post. I have posted about the BS teacher shortage several times on my blog and I see red anytime I hear that nonsense. Keep up the good work.
It's just the biggest crock ever. It seems the districts along with the colleges and universities peddled this garbage so that there would be a massive surplus. That way districts can continue with their campaign of fear and intimidation, as teachers know there are hundreds of people standing in line just waiting to take their places.
Until students vote with their feet and REJECT a career in education, the mistreatment of teachers will continue.
