As this graph taken from the NYT attests, more and more people are unemployed longer, thus making it increasingly obvious there is a growing underclass in this country.
It takes much, much longer to find work now than in the past. Yours truly has been out almost TWO YEARS, the longest ever in my working career, and I don't see my situation improving in the near term.
