The Education Wars: "Touchy-Feely" Administrators

Yours truly was canned on what amounted to a clerical error and went on unpaid leave for months and months, yet this guy, who is accused of sexual harassment, is still on PAID leave and is trying to negotiate a cushy deal with his school district:

When the school board and Polansky agreed in principle to part ways Jan. 21, both parties confirmed Polansky would be paid though June 30, which would total $84,817 in salary and benefits.

Polansky also was able to cash out the 33 1/2 accumulated sick days totaling $25,645, and the board agreed to pay the remaining $14,000 on his health insurance plan through Aug. 31.

Polansky is alleged to have sexually harassed two female principals, and appeared in court last week on two counts each of fourth-degree sexual assault and second-degree breach of peace.

The principals allege he repeatedly kissed and hugged them, and also touched their buttocks. A school investigator concluded there was “inconclusive findings” concerning whether Polansky sexually harassed the principals.

However, the same investigator wrote that Polansky, who is “touchy feely,” should be disciplined and should have known his behavior may make some female employees uncomfortable.
