designed solely to rip off taxpayers of billions of dollars in Pell Grants and student loans while overcharging students outrageous tuition and providing no guarantee of any kind of jobs at the end. Frontline had an excellent episode about the for-profit scam.
These students get shortchanged on their education and then are stuck with tens of thousands of dollars in student loan debt which they cannot repay yet cannot discharge in bankruptcy.
It's a scam, yet people like Arne Duncan think these "schools" are such great ideas.
The most important lesson to be learned from this is a college degree is not a union card, and that few jobs even require any education beyond high school.
