Unbelievable if you're old enough, but it has been fifty years since JFK was elected president over Richard Nixon. It's also unbelievable that lofty ideas Kennedy espoused were buried and forgotten almost as soon as he died.
JFK might as well have been living on another planet. We are now so far from any kind of sense of justice, equality, and decency we might just as well be living in the medieval times of feudalism.
