There is a Dire Need for Civics and the Constitution

to be taught; there would be no need for ignorant editorials like this one which go overboard in trying to appease a small minority group.

I have increasingly gotten disgusted with the LGBT community because of their complete ignorance and myopia when it comes to politics (such as the ridiculous requirement in California public ed that students, even kindergartners, be taught inappropriate curriculum such as "gay rights" and "gay history" of figures who may or may not have been gay), and, in this case, their disregard for constitutionally-protected speech by public employees, even those they disagree with. In this case of the FB teacher, she was merely expressing her religious opposition to gay rights and NOT as part of her job. So what? Many, many people have the same point of view, and many of these people are in public employment.

I got news for the LGBT community: Tolerance begins at home, with those you disagree as well as with those with whom you agree.

If this teacher is actually fired, she will win big time in court. It's really a no-brainer.
