"near poor" because they claim they are "barely" scraping by is an insult to those of us who have NO fucking assets to speak of at all and are literally hanging on by a thread.
If a woman and her husband can get into a $230,000 house, they aren't nearly poor. I made as much money as those two did combined as a teacher, and I never could afford a house.
Cry me a river.
