It wasn't smart of Mitt Romney to talk about how he liked to "fire people," but frankly Obama said essentially the same thing when he thought it was a good thing the Central Falls, Rhode Island, teachers were fired illegally. Both of them are absolutely flippant about how devastating it is to lose one's job, especially if it is through a layoff or it is an illegal termination.
My last principal proved she was a sadist when she "lowered the boom" on me through false pretenses and then had the district bail her and the former head of human resources out when it was discovered she was a lazy shit who never did one goddamned thing she was suppose to do. They prospered at my expense. I still cannot get back on my feet because the "jobs" that are out there are short term or not consistent. I can't really do much subbing because almost all of the assignments require a fairly long commute to Eagle Point, which burns up a lot of gas, which of course is the point. The retirees have all of the plum assignments, all of the jobs which are long term.
Getting back to Romney, Obama doesn't have a leg to stand on because he has the same attitude as Romney toward workers.
