If by some remote chance Rick Santorum, with his extreme religious views, actually becomes the GOP nominee for president, it will be proof positive the Republicans are deliberately throwing the election to Obama. There is NO way Santorum could possibly win. As lousy as Obama is, at least he is a known quantity. Santorum simply doesn't have nationwide appeal to be considered electable.
Remember, the GOP did this in 2008 with McCain/Palin when they realized the economy was going to go into the tank, and there is no doubt in my mind they would do it again.
Besides, those donors who control both political parties will back the one who seems to be less extreme to the public, yet he will do their dirty work anyway.
A new poll shows Santorum just an itty-bitty bit ahead of Romney. I still am skeptical he will be the nominee.
