Etc.

Pearson seems to be calling so many of the shots when it comes to education "reform." They certainly control the testing apparatus in all fifty states.

On a personal level, I have had a hell of a getting the Job Council to even pay for my testing and Oregon licensure, and when they finally cut a check to mail to Pearson in Sacramento for my ORELA civil rights test, I got this letter back Thursday with the check saying they don't take mail orders. This after I talked with people there about my situation. Of course they take them, as there is a spot on the registration form allowing for a voucher number to be used in case of a situation like mine where a third party is paying for the test. I had to make a phone call back to the ORELA outfit/Pearson, and they told me to put an attention to the person they told me would handle the order. Then I can get my voucher number via email and complete the online registration.

It has taken all year to cut through this stinking red tape, and it is nowhere near done.

I just about give up.
