I don't know when I will be able to get my own place. I did apply for Section 8 housing about a year-and-a-half ago. I hope I won't have to use it, but at least it is there. It would beat this setup of living on a couch in a place that has only about 700 square feet and is already tight.
My brother would appreciate it too, except he wouldn't have the dogs anymore.

Klinenberg has spent years tracking the seismic spike in "solo dwelling." He says today there are about 32.7 million Americans living alone. Clearly, if you live alone, you're NOT alone.
"It's an incredible number, and it's a massive increase over where we were in 1950 when it was just four million Americans," Klinenberg said.
