The hardest part about it is the fact you have to be entirely responsible for yourself; there is no safety net of another spouse and there is no roommate to help share expenses. However, having privacy is worth the potential drawbacks.

I don't know when I will be able to get my own place. I did apply for Section 8 housing about a year-and-a-half ago. I hope I won't have to use it, but at least it is there. It would beat this setup of living on a couch in a place that has only about 700 square feet and is already tight.

My brother would appreciate it too, except he wouldn't have the dogs anymore.
