This editorial from the Las Vegas Review-Journal hits the entire Martinez debacle on the head.
WCSD needs to get a new board and a new legal team, not just replace the lead counsel Randy Drake. Furthermore, they need to oust all administrators who are entrenched in the system and feel, thanks to having a "union" or "bargaining unit," they can get away with anything short of bodily harm.
What Martinez did wrong was not being the "yes" man the majority of the board wants.
