Actor Denny Miller, remembered as one of the zillions of TV and movie Tarzans over a long career which also included TV commercials, died Tuesday at the age of 80. He had been battling ALS.
I also remember him for having played Duke Shannon, a good-looking but rather ditzy type of character in the 1960s western, Wagon Train. Back then he was billed as "Scott Miller."
Miller also co-starred with Juliet Prowse in the mid-sixties sitcom Mona McCluskey.
He penned his memoirs a number of years ago, which was a good thing, for he was one great storyteller.
