On "Today" Friday morning, Trump at first said he didn't "think" it was him on the recording.
"This sounds like one of the scams, one of the many scams, doesn't sound like me," Trump said. "I don't think it was me, it doesn't sound like me."
When pressed by the anchors, Trump explicitly said it wasn't him.
And then he testily told the journalists to move on.
He gets caught in a flagrant lie, and Trump tells the media to "move on."
CNN has been carrying water for Trump since he announced last summer. It has been wall-to-wall Trump coverage, with hardly anybody else being able to get a word in edgewise.
This would never have been allowed during the years of the Fairness Doctrine. Now we have nothing but propaganda, in this case propaganda pushed by the CEOs or other high-level media executives.
Regardless of Trump and the media, the fact remains Trump is the end result of the GOP's decades-long race-baiting and use of divisive politics. The party made its bed, now it will have to lie in it.
