A school that segregates in any way has no business being on the list of "best" public high schools at all.
Davidson Academy in Reno, Nevada, is a school, thanks to the Nevada legislature that created it, that panders to "genius kids" in some idiotic belief those kids are better than the student population at large. It has a totally twisted philosophy that says these kids are better and will amount to something when in all likelihood they will live the same mediocre lives as everybody else. The plain unvarnished truth is GT students discover that our society is not geared for them at all. Having emotional intelligence and connections are far more important indicators of material "success"(i.e., high income) than having a so-called high IQ. Davidson Academy is not a real public school and shouldn't be on the list at all.
