Giving birth ain't all what it's cracked up to be. It often damages or even destroys a woman's body.

Another reason I avoided having kids at all.

More women should shut these men up.

Recent obituary: Actress Heather Menzies-Urich, 68, known for her role in the crashingly boring, saccharine-as-shit The Sound of Music, has died after being diagnosed with brain cancer:

Her son, actor Ryan Urich, told Variety that his mother died late Sunday in Frankford, Ontario. She recently had been diagnosed with brain cancer.

"She was an actress, a ballerina and loved living her life to the fullest," Urich said.

Menzies-Urich played Louisa von Trapp, the third-oldest of the seven von Trapp children, in the film adaptation of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical that starred Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer.

"The Sound of Music" captured five Academy Awards, including best picture.

Unbelievable it won "Best Picture." It took me many decades to get around to watching the movie, and when I finally did a couple of years ago, it was a huge disappointment.

Granted, the scenery was terrific and made me want to move there, but otherwise, the movie was a horrible bore. Julie Andrews couldn't save it.

Another obituary: Actress Rose Marie, who began her long career as a child actress and then became famous for being desperate single woman Sally Rogers on The Dick Van Dyke Show, has died. She was 94 years old and had been in show business since she was three years old. Her real name was Rose Marie Mazetta. She was widowed in 1964 when her husband, Bobby Guy, died.

She was active as recently as this year promoting a new documentary. Incredible.

Think about it for a second. She was born 94 years ago, and she started her career when she was three, back in the 1920s. She was known as Baby Rose Marie.

A radio career followed, including her own show and albums, and Rose Marie sang for Presidents Coolidge, Hoover and Roosevelt.

She began acting in films, appearing in several pictures for Paramount in the 1930s, including International House.

She is survived by her daughter Georgiana Marie “Noopy” and her son-in-law Steven Rodrigues.

She had a great life and an impressive career.

The reason my feet look pretty good for my age of 62, almost 63, is because I never wore high heels.

They are nothing but instruments of torture, and they have no place in the workplace of the 21st century.
